By virtue of Baptism, all members of the Church are called to holiness of life and accountability to one another. The Church and each Diocese supports members in their life in Christ and seeks to resolve conflicts by promoting healing, repentance, forgiveness, restitution, justice, amendment of life and reconciliation among all involved or affected.
Clergy, who have by their vows at ordination accepted additional responsibilities and accountabilities, are subject to an ecclesiastical discipline process if they knowingly, intentionally or maliciously violate the doctrine, discipline, worship and obedience of the Church.
The Rev. Ralph Osborne, Rector, St. Thomas, Menasha serves as diocesan Intake Officer and receives all complaints made against diocesan clergy and has received specific training in processing such complaints according to the canons.
If any member of the diocese desires to file a specific complaint against a cleric of the diocese, which shouldn’t be trivial in nature (e.g. they selected a hymn you didn’t like), they should be filed with the Intake Officer. If a there is a complaint against the Intake Officer, the Bishop should be contacted.
